General Terms of Use of the France Galop Website – Ticketing

ARTICLE 1 – DEFINITIONS
Within these General Terms of Use, words or expressions beginning with a capital letter shall have the following meaning:
Article: specific rights and obligations contained in the GTU.
GTU: General Terms of Use intended to define the rules for using the Site and the associated Services offered by FRANCE GALOP. This contract sets out the obligations of both the User and FRANCE GALOP.
Account: the personal space created by the User in order to manage preferences relating to the Services they use.
Information: all works, information, and publications (articles, photos, videos, trademarks, etc.) accessible via the Site.
Partners: third-party companies with which FRANCE GALOP maintains contractual relationships.
Service(s): all online services and functionalities offered by FRANCE GALOP that Users can access via the Site.
Site: all web pages published by FRANCE GALOP, accessible at the URL "https://www.billetterie.france-galop.com", and its associated directories, through which Services and Information are available.
User(s): any natural person who has created an Account and accesses, consults, and/or uses the Information and/or Services of the Site, regardless of their location or means of connection.
ARTICLE 2 – INTRODUCTION
The Site, accessible at "https://www.billetterie.france-galop.com" and published by FRANCE GALOP, provides Users with access to several online services.
In the context of accessing, consulting, and/or using the Information and/or Services of the Site, the latest version of the GTU, along with applicable law (legislative, executive, and judicial sources), constitute all obligations governing the relationship between FRANCE GALOP and the User.
If any provision of these GTU is declared null or unenforceable under applicable law, it shall be deemed unwritten, and the remaining provisions shall remain in force.
FRANCE GALOP reserves the right to modify these GTU at any time, particularly due to the evolving nature of the Site and Services. The User must accept the new version of the GTU to continue using the relevant Services. If the User disagrees, they must stop using the Site and Services.

ARTICLE 3 – ACCESS AND USE OF SERVICES AND INFORMATION
All equipment and resources required to access and use the Site are the sole responsibility of the User, including telecommunications costs.
FRANCE GALOP grants the User a revocable, non-transferable, non-assignable, non-exclusive, and free license to use the Services and Information. This license is strictly personal.
The User agrees to comply with these GTU, especially Article 5 – Intellectual Property.
The User undertakes to:
- not use software or tools that may disrupt the Site's proper functioning;
- ensure their system is free of such tools;
- not impose excessive load on FRANCE GALOP infrastructure.
ARTICLE 4 – USER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
4.1 Account Creation
The Site allows Users to create an Account to:
- purchase products and services;
- access a personal space to manage subscriptions and personal data.
The User must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- have legal capacity;
- accept the GTU without reservation;
- create only one Account.
The User must provide accurate and up-to-date information and a valid email address.
Non-compliance may result in sanctions (see sections 4.3 and 4.4).
Single Account / SSO: FRANCE GALOP offers a single account system allowing Users to log in across multiple sites (e.g., france-galop.com and francegalop-live.com). Certain data (email, password, title, technical ID, preferences) may be shared between these sites.
4.2 Personal Information
The User must keep their information updated and is responsible for account confidentiality.
They must immediately notify FRANCE GALOP of unauthorized use.
FRANCE GALOP may suspend the Account and require credential changes if security is compromised.
Certain changes may require verification (e.g., confirmation email).
4.3 Temporary Suspension
FRANCE GALOP may suspend an Account if:
- information is false or outdated;
- email is invalid;
- security issues are suspected;
- GTU obligations are violated.
4.4 Unsubscription and Deletion
Users may delete their Account:
- via contact form or email;
- via "My Account" settings.
Deletion results in permanent removal of the Account and data.
FRANCE GALOP may delete accounts in cases such as:
- user request;
- 3 years of inactivity;
- non-compliance with eligibility conditions;
- legal violations;
- user's death.
ARTICLE 5 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Site is the exclusive property of FRANCE GALOP.
Any unauthorized reproduction constitutes infringement under French law.
Databases are protected by law; extraction or reuse is prohibited.
Trademarks and logos are protected; unauthorized use is forbidden.
The User agrees not to:
- copy or modify content without authorization;
- extract database content;
- collect third-party data for commercial use;
- create unfair competition or infringement systems;
- misuse hyperlinks or framing techniques.
ARTICLE 6 – PERSONAL DATA
6.1 Data Controller
FRANCE GALOP complies with French and EU data protection laws (including GDPR).

6.2 Data Processed
Data includes:
- account creation data;
- usage data.
Some data is mandatory.
SSO may involve sharing essential account data.
6.3 Legal Basis and Purpose
Processing is based on contract execution.
Purposes include:
- account management;
- service improvement;
- statistics;
- technical operation.
Marketing communications require user consent.
6.4 Retention Period
- Browsing data: 13 months
- Account data: until deletion
- Marketing data: 3 years after last contact
6.5 User Rights
Users have rights to:
- access, rectify, delete data;
- object to processing;
- data portability;
- restrict processing;
- define post-mortem data use;
- lodge complaints with CNIL.
ARTICLE 7 – LIABILITY OF FRANCE GALOP
FRANCE GALOP has a best-efforts obligation.
Services are available 24/7 except in force majeure or maintenance.
FRANCE GALOP is not liable for:
- temporary interruptions;
- third-party content;
- loss of data or profits.
Liability is limited to direct damages.
ARTICLE 8 – USER LIABILITY
The User is solely responsible for:
- any damage caused;
- their internet access;
- downloaded content;
- protecting their systems;
- ensuring compatibility.
ARTICLE 9 – NON-WAIVER
Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver of rights.
ARTICLE 10 – APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These GTU are governed by French law. Only the French version is authoritative.
Disputes should be resolved amicably where possible.
Failing that, jurisdiction is assigned to the courts of Paris.
